Volker started his career in 2003 consulting major chemistry companies in their sales strategy of bulk commodity products. He joined RWE in 2006, first integrating RWE’s gas transport and storage portfolio of Continental and Central Eastern Europe, then fostering origination of gas supply, flexibility and transport in this region. He has a key role in building and expanding the physical portfolio of RWE in various countries like France, the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Baltics, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Hungary, Romania. Since 2015, Volker has been responsible for establishing RWE’s gas portfolio as well as trading activities covering countries such as Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, and the Baltics. Volker holds a Master degree in Electrical Engineering and Management from the Technical University of Darmstadt.
