Simon Shutinoski
Simon Shutinoski is the founder of MEMO as the Electricity Market Operator and first power exchange in North Macedonia. He has been the CEO of MEMO for the fifth year.
In 2023, under his leadership, MEMO established the organized electricity day-ahead market in North Macedonia.'
He is one of the initiators and contractors of MoU for the SEE MC Project - Market Coupling of the Macedonian power exchange with Greece, Albania and Kosovo, and the MoU for the Market Coupling project between North Macedonia and Bulgaria. During 2024, he is to co-chair the JSC of the SEEMC Project. From 2023 he has been working on the establishment of a Register of Guaranties of Origin and organised market for GOs in North Macedonia. His next challenge is the developing of the project for opening the Macedonian organized intra-day market and its ID market coupling with neighbouring intra-day markets following the PAN European electricity market model.
From 2017 to 2019 he was the director of the Market operator - branch in MEPSO-Macedonian TSO and member of the management board of MEPSO.
He heald Bachelor of Science in Electricity Engineering at Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies on 'St. Cyril and Methodius' University in Skopje.
