Pál Ságvári was appointed as Vice President of the Hungarian Energy and Public Utility Regulatory Authority (MEKH) and Vice-Chair of Energy Regulators Regional Association (ERRA) in November 2020. Between 2016 and 2021 he was Ambassador-at-large for energy security of Hungary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. He was Director for energy policy in the Ministry of National Development between 2011-14. He started his professional energy career in GDF SUEZ (ENGIE) various expert positions
