Since February 2023, Petya has served as the Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of Balkan Gas Hub. She brings over 20 years of experience in the gas sector, including 10 years with the Bulgarian Energy and Water Regulatory Commission, 7 years at Bulgartransgaz EAD, and 4 years as Director of Regulations and Exchange Operations at Balkan Gas Hub.

Since 2021, Petya has been a visiting lecturer in the Master's program in Gas Engineering and Natural Gas Trading at the Technical University of Sofia.

Petya holds a Master's degree in Thermal and Nuclear Power Energy and a Master's degree in Finance.
