Dr Matt Feist is a meteorological research scientist at MetDesk, where he serves as technical lead for site level renewable energy forecasting. His work brings together numerical weather prediction models and machine learning techniques to enhance forecast accuracy for the energy sector.
He holds a Master’s degree in Meteorology and a PhD in Atmospheric Science from the University of Reading. His postgraduate research centred on the use of weather radar to study turbulent processes in clouds, improve their representation in NWP models, and refine rainfall estimation in tropical regions.
