The Alpine-Adriatic Danube Power Exchange (ADEX) is a regional power exchange for Central and South-Eastern Europe, founded in 2022 by ELES, EMS, and EPEX SPOT. In November 2024, ADEX merged with the Hungarian Power Exchange (HUPX), becoming the leading power trading hub in the region. Headquartered in Budapest, ADEX now owns BSP, HUPX, and SEEPEX, aiming to streamline trading services and enhance market efficiency and transparency. The collaboration of its shareholders supports the advancement of the pan-European Market Coupling and energy transition.
